If you want to make your children’s school half-term special, please read further.
There are several places in London that offer an incredible choice of musical events for little ones. In this post I’m going to draw your attention to the program of Southbank Centre. Many of the events are free, so it is worth having a look.
Nearly every school holiday Southbank Centre organises Imagine Children’s Festival. For the half-term in February 2017 I’ve chosen just the events, which are more musical than anything else.
This year they have:
- The Gruffalo & Room on the Broom with classical orchestra for ages 3+
- Finnish heavy metal band Hevisaurus for ages 3+
- Friday Lunch: Groove Baby presents Imagine Special for all ages
- Nimble Tots is an interactive musical storytelling for 0 – 5s
- Rave-A-Roo is a brand new clubbing mash-up of festival fun for the whole family, and the ultimate party for kids.
- West End Kids is a talented group of young singers and dancers in a live performance of musical theatre and dance.
- Mischief and Mysteries in Moominvalley is a performance for ages 4-7
- Imagine Children’s Singing Course for ages 8-12
- PJ Party is a pyjama party for ages 2-8
- Stories through sound: sound design with School of Noise for ages 7-12
- Debussy and the Snow Elephant for ages 0-4
- Beat Goes On Body Percussion Workshop for ages 8+
- Oddjob – jazz for all ages
- FUNharmonics: Conducting Science with the London Philharmonic Orchestra
Enjoy!
